Customers are reporting severe delays with messages that should be forwarded to Gmail and Google Apps hosted domains.  It appears direct mail from our customers is coming thru just fine to Gmail addresses — but forwards are seeing delays of several hours.  If this sounds familiar, it is because it happened about 8 months back.  This means that we have a pretty solid idea of what is going on this time around tho.

Members of our admin team have been in touch with the Gmail team at Google and are working together on a resolution.  More information on this matter will be added onto this entry as new details bubble up to the surface.

P.S. Forwarding-only accounts where important mail is expected over the next 24 to 48 hours should add a mailbox hosted here to guarantee mail delivery for the time being.  Hopefully things won’t take that long — since the matter is in Google’s hands, we don’t quite have an ETA — but it’s always best to plan for the worst case scenario.  If you need assistance with doing this, please contact the support department.
