| [info] Calling all geeks | We're looking to do some marketing and/or advertising.
We have capacity to handle a lot more customers now, at last.
However, we are keen <span style="font-weight: bold;">not</span> to become a faceless consumer ISP cutting services to the bare minimum. We don't want to have to make the support department in to an Indian call centre reading from scripts. So we need to somehow attract the right sort of customers :-)
Many of our existing customers are either quite technical themselves or have a dealer or friend that introduced them that is themselves quite technical. This means tech support get asked the interesting and tricky questions, not the <span style="font-style: italic;">how do I turn on my computer</span> questions. Well, mostly... We'd like to keep it that way. Having good tech support is key to the way we run things, and also innovation in the service itself. Heck, we have been doing IPv6 for around 7 years whilst most ISPs are just considering it now.
We're not really the marketing types, so we're asking you for some [free] ideas here.
You are our customers, and you like our service. What sort of advert would attract you to take our services?
