| [info] Usage stats | We have updated the usage reports for units based billing, and made the web page usage report exactly the same as the emailed interim usage stats.
The key change is the summary at the top with also includes a forecast of likely usage based on the current rate of usage and likely carried over under/over usage for the end of the period. This makes it clear if there are likely to be excess usage charges. The forecast does not show at the start of the month where it could be wildly inaccurate.
This should make the emailed usage statements much clearer.
Please do let us have any comments on irc.
Update: Following various comments the wording has been revised even more with a one-line statement at the top (like 'no extra charges expected') and the one para summary before the details are shown.
Update: I have also changed to start sending once the carry over to next month reaches zero units, i.e. you are starting to carry excess usage. Previously they started when usage this month reached tariff this month.
